Mrs. Ellie Glick (Director/Lead Teacher)
Hello, and WELCOME to the Vienna Early Learning Center! I am the director and lead teacher for our program and can’t wait to be a part of your child’s future! This will be my ninth year teaching at VELC and each year just keeps getting better. We have worked very hard to put together the best preschool we can and anticipate growth and improvement for years to come. I graduated high school from here at Maries R-I, then graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am also certified in Early Childhood Special Education and have obtained my Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration from William Woods University. I can’t wait to get to know you and your child through a great preschool program for this community. When people ask me what I do for a living, I normally say to them that I work in a preschool where “everyday is a new adventure”. I can’t wait to see what kind of adventures we will get to go on this year!
Mrs. Tonya Magner (Instructional Aide)
This is my second year teaching at VELC and I am so excited to be a part of the VELC team. I am married to Cliffty and have four wonderful children: Lucas, Logan, Lawson, and Larissa. I graduated high school from Maries R-1, then graduated from East Central with an Associate’s Degree. I also have a nursing license. I am looking forward to a great year working with your children.
Miss Katie Burkholder (Classroom Helper)
I graduated from Maries R-I in 2005. I will be assisting Mrs. Glick and Mrs. Magner everyday in the preschool. I am looking forward to meeting all the children and helping in any way that I can. I also help the children who will ride the preschool bus as I ride with them on our route.
Mrs. Charlot Fanning (Preschool Bus Driver)
I will be the bus driver for VELC. I currently own and have operated a bus for Maries R-I School since 1998. I graduated school here in Vienna, married and have three daughters. The staff here at VELC are such a great bunch to work with! And LOVE the kids – they help keep me feeling younger! My goal each day is to pick them up and return your child to you safely!
